2018 NPVC Open House - Celebrating Animal Health Week

Wednesday October 3rd from 4–8pm

Come celebrate Animal Health Week with us at our 2018 Open House!  This year’s theme, Vaccines Save Lives!, focuses on one of the most important components of animal health – disease prevention. We will focus on prevention through immunization and remind animal owners to discuss the best vaccination protocols for their animals based on their breed, age, overall health, risk of exposure, and region in which they reside. A vaccinated animal is a happy, safe, and healthy animal. Join us on Wednesday October 3rd from 4–8pm for an afternoon and evening of fun and information for all:

Horse Nutrition Seminar

Save the date for a special horse nutrition seminar on Saturday, October 13th from 1-5pm.

The first part will take place in the classroom @ Northern Lights College from 1-2:30pm.

Coffee and snacks will be provided at 2:30pm.

Next, a demo will be held at the North Peace Veterinary Clinic from 3:30-5pm to learn, hands-on, how to tell your horse’s condition, how to weigh your feed, how to weigh your horse and figure out how much feed he/she needs.

Master Equine Nutritionist, Shelagh Niblock was part of the team that formulated the Pro Form Equine feeds (Step 1 through 8) and will be here to talk about Equine Nutrition and feeding our Equine friends exactly how they should be fed for optimum health, weight control and performance.

Spay and Neuter Loyalty Program

To show our thanks to our loyal clients with young pets who have completed their recommended vaccination program here at the North Peace Veterinary Clinic (a minimum of 2 vaccine and wellness exam visits here at the clinic), our veterinary care team is offering a 10% appreciation discount for your puppy or kitten's spay or neuter, pre-surgical bloodwork and identification options (tattoo and/or microchip) done on the day of surgery.  Sterilization at 6 -12 months of age not only prevents pet overpopulation, but also helps to prevent many health issues such as cancer and infections of the reproductive system. The surgery must be performed before 1 year of age to qualify for the discount, and we strongly encourage that it is performed at 6 months of age to maximize the health benefits. This is a small token of our appreciation to your family, and a thank-you for entrusting your pet's past and future veterinary care needs with us.  Call us today at 250-785-4578. We encourage you to book an appointment soon as our surgery schedule tends to fill quickly, especially in the spring.
